City Tattersalls Club Nivison (G3)
Nayeli began well and settled forward of midfield, saving ground from barrier three. Past the 600m, she travelled well in fifth and moved off the rails on the last section of the turn. Balancing up, she pulled out four wide at the 300m and lodged her claim which was not immediate. Appearing to battle, she kept on, five deep, eventually grabbing the lead inside the 50m and just held out Peace Force for a gutsy win. Peace Force was fourth at the 600m, just in front of Nayeli but one off the rails. She moved up to challenge at the 200m, edged closer at the 100m and made another lunge at the line to lose narrowly. Miss Cover Girl trailed third on the rails around the turn and when leader Frill Seeking came off the rails, Miss Cover Girl made her move, taking over the lead passing the 200m. She had the lead with 50m to go but was run down by the first two in a solid effort.
