City Tattersalls Club Nivison (G3)
A really game effort by the favourite Avoid Lightning who showed her customarily late finish and will to win, to score a narrow but good victory. She settled down in sixth position three wide with cover. She travelled well in the race before being switched to the clear at the 300m. She took a few strides to pick up but she came with a big finish to grab the lead right on the line. A good effort. Brook Road came from ninth between runners. She was cluttered up looking for runs turning for home and came with her run on the inside of the winner Avoid Lightning. She finished on resolutely under hard riding to just go under. A sound effort in defeat. Rose Of Choice was trapped three wide facing the breeze in third position from her wide barrier (13). She was nursed around the home turn and travelled up smartly to take the lead at the 200m. She justifiably tired a little right on the line to just go under. A good effort taking into account the extra work she did from her wide barrier.
