Pinch River settled in fourth place, following a strong tempo. He was under riding nearing the turn, got a split between runners shortly after straightening and responded well in a driving finish to win narrowly but well. Divine Service raced outside the leader (Celestial Dragon), challenged strongly once into the straight and got to a narrow lead at the 100m only to be run down on the post for second after working most of the way. Veloz came with a late run from seventh at the turn for a close-up third. *ANZ
