New Zealand stayer Bajour, having his start in Australia for new trainer Danny O’Brien put up a promising effort in winning. He settled back in eighth place, improved wide from the 700m, went wider on straightening and finished too well to grab a good win. He will appreciate further and looks likely to progress to better things.
