Angels Beach took her record to six wins from 11 starts scoring in good style. She began well and settled fourth, one out and one back, following a good tempo. She moved up well at the turn, hit the lead at the 200m and she then dashed away to win comfortably by three lengths, in good time 58.47. The Gary Moore-trained Straight Gold, having his first start after racing in Hong Kong, was eased from a wide barrier (10), settled in ninth place, one off the rails. He was under riding nearing the turn but responded nicely over the closing stages, running on well for an encouraging first-up second. Let’s Rock’N’Roll was trapped deep from his outside barrier (12) racing in about sixth place, three wide without cover. He improved rounding the home turn and fought on quite well in the straight for third, after a difficult trip.
