RACE 1 - PINK CASHMERE (7) is a consistent performer with two minor placings from three starts this campaign. Was handy all the way when beaten narrowly at the latest. Nicely placed to play a major role. RUSTIC BOOM (1) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by a head over 1050m at Gold Coast Poly. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from four runs. Leading player again. PLATINUM LIES (8) was prominent at the corner and finished third last start. Likely improver with winning claims. MIO SORRENTO (2) next best.

RACE 2 - RUM RUMBLE (4) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished sixth at Eagle Farm. Big chance based on that effort. AQUATEMPO (7) finished third when resuming from a spell last start over 1000m at Gold Coast after she was prominent at the corner. Ready to go a couple better. TUDAYA (5) is a first-starter by Trapeze Artist who was an $350 000 purchase. Has won his past two four trials. A bold showing is on the cards. MISS MERCY (11) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing fifth over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. Has upside and must be respected.

RACE 3 - TEMPER THE STORM (4) returns and did win first-up last time in work over this track and trip. Placed in a recent trial. Best fresh figures put him right in this. COBURG (7) lifted strongly to score two runs back then was prominent in the run last time before finishing third at Ipswich. Change of rider to Georgina Cartwright who has an excellent strike rate when in the saddle, including two wins. Should be in the finish. PINKUS (6) is ready to win after he just missed last time, beaten a neck into second at Sunshine Coast when he worked home in great style. Likely improver with strong prospects. AITUTAKI (10) is racing well this campaign and is another that deserves respect.

RACE 4 - AQUAHOLIC (2) on the synthetic for the first time today on his return. Kicked off the last campaign with a second at Sunshine Coast over 1000m. Blinkers come off. Looks hard to beat. MODISTE (10) was in the money two starts back at Sunshine Coast then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. The blinkers go on. Best form stacks up and she is among the chances. LATE NIGHT TALKING (9) and the resuming ROCK LOBSTER (11) are next best.

RACE 5 - NEW HAMPSHIRE (2) doesn't win out of turn but does look better placed in this grade. Expect to see him go very close this time around. BANK BOOK (5) was an impressive maiden winner last time out at the Gold Coast. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Nicely drawn and she is worth including. EYE WANTED (8) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when a head away in second over 1200m at Kilcoy. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. VOULAIT (4) next best.

RACE 6 - WATERMELON (2) turned things around last start and got the job done. Has his share of ability and should prove tough to beat again. LUCKY LENI (6) broke through for her maiden win over 1200m at Sunshine Coast last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and she looks sure to be in the mix. JEDIAH (7) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1300m at Toowoomba, finishing third. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. VORTEXIA (10) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only a head over 1710m at Ipswich. Nicely placed to play a big role.
