Fitted with two searching trials and gelded over the break. Expected to go close. METAPHORICALLY (6) well bred colt resuming. Solid placing on debut last time in and fitted with the three trials in readiness for this. Hard to hold out from the draw. GUNROOM (2) is a two-start maiden racing well on the provincial circuit. Worked hard early from the sticky draw when a game third over 1100m at Wyong on October 31. Extra trip suits and the blinkers go on. Each way prospect. INOUE (5) has fitness on his side third up and a win looks imminent. Sat on the good tempo when a gritty second over 1100m at Hawkesbury on October 17. Maps well again and has genuine top four prospects.
RACE 2 - ZAN (10) improving filly who gets her chance here from the good draw. Stalked the speed when a fighting second over 1600m at Kembla Grange last time out. Brings the right figures here and will prove hard to hold out. KOTAISHI (2) two runs back have been full of merit and looks close to a victory. Strong through the line when fourth over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on October 30. Can race a little closer from the good gate and is expected to play a leading role. ALTAIR I AM (1) sound return for his third prep when an eye-catching second over 1300m at Hawkesbury on October 24. Looks set for a good campaign and is expected to be doing his best work late again. BLUEPINOT (5) strong through the line second up over the 1400m when fifth at Randwick Kensington on October 30. Ready to peak tonight and will relish the extra ground.
RACE 3 - ALINEA (5) has race experience on her side and strips fitter after going out fast on resumption when a tiring third over 1000m at Hawkesbury on October 17. Kept fresh for this and expected to take control early and prove hard to run down. QUEEN'S RHAPSODY (1) smart So You Think filly who showed a ton of grit on debut when a narrow second over 1100m at Randwick Kensington on July 17. Sure to have developed further over the break and the two trials have been encouraging. Drawn to stalk the good tempo and hit the line strongly. HYPERBOLIC (3) resuming from a four-month break after placing on debut. Spelled after running fourth at Randwick over 1400m on July 13. Has the trials under the belt and is sure to be attacking the line late. REGIMENTAL COLOURS (12) fast All Too Hard filly out of the Group 1 winning mare Regimental Gal on debut for the Bjorn Baker yard. Her last two trials have been slick and gets her chance from the low draw. The chances don't end there.
RACE 4 - VAGUER (1) tough gelding back in class after sitting on the fast tempo when a solid second behind Fleet Commander over 2400m at Randwick Kensington on October 30. Will appreciate Wadick's 3kg claim and figure prominently. CHEVAL SAVANT (3) kept fresh for this after disappointing second up when eighth over 1800m at Randwick Kensington on October 9. Winkers come off and expecting a much improved showing with Rawiller aboard. PERSIAN DANCER (6) is racing well on the country circuit and gets her chance with the 3kg claim. Demolished her rivals with the 56.5kg when a 4.5 len winner over 1600m at Wagga on October 19. Has won over the 1800m and can play a leading role here. OLD GREGG (7) mixing his form and looks better placed back to the 1900m. Failed to run out the 2500m when fourth at Wagga in the heavy going on October 19. Each way contender.
RACE 5 - PHENOM (7) progressive filly starting to put it all together this prep and chasing her third straight victory. Up in grade tonight after sitting on the speed when a tenacious winner over 1200m at Wyong on October 31. Winning rider Tim Clark retains the mount and she has the ratings to win again. HOW DARE YOU (1) smart fresh mare back from a four-month spell. Has an excellent record over this track and trip and was not asked to do much in two recent trials. Will be strong late. CAPTAIN AMELIA (2) closed off nicely on resumption when fourth over 1150m at Randwick Kensington on October 30. This trip is still short of her best but expected to take a hand in the finish. MAILI (5) fourth up here and her best form is over this track and trip. Finished unplaced in the LR Tapp-Craig two back before wilting late when sixth over 1400m at Randwick Kensington on October 30. Worth another chance.
RACE 6 - KERGUELEN (6) promising Lonhro gelding undefeated first up. Gets the right race set up from the inside draw with the fast tempo anticipated. Has looked strong through the line in both trials and is set to explode tonight. NAVY BLOOD (5) exciting entire resuming after racing in Midway grade last time in. Likely to find this short of his best with his racing pattern but can sprint well fresh with the fast pace expected. Has clearly come back well with the two trials under the belt and must be kept safe. EYE OF THE FIRE (8) showed a stock ability last time in, including a narrow third to In Flight over 1100m at Rosehill four-and-a-half months ago. Clearly trained on over the break and has solid top three prospects. FLIGHTCREW (9) consistent mare resuming with a decent first up record. Fitted with the two trials and gets her chance from the good gate.
RACE 7 - UNION ARMY (3) enigmatic gelding resuming and has the ability to sprint well fresh in this easier grade. Failed to get into the contest when eighth to the speedy Willaidow over 1200m in BM78 grade on August 10. Fitted with two solid trials and the tongue tie comes off here. Strong winning chance. DEMIANA (4) underrated mare who returns from a layoff of four months. Has excellent figures over this course and trip and was not asked to do much when second in a recent 850m trial. Sure to figure prominently. IMATRUESTAR (5) Taree trained gelding who surprised at big odds when a fast finishing fourth behind Spanish Fox over 1300m at Rosehill last time out. Claim helps and can add value to the exotics. SCORCH (2) first-up tonight for the Hawkes yard and his best form is usually early in the prep. Has the two trials in readiness for this and maps to get the right run.
RACE 8 - INQUIRING MINDS (3) lightly raced Kingman gelding resuming. Raced quickly through his grades last time in and will relish Amy Roper's 2kg claim tonight. Has the two searching trials under the belt and gets his chance from the draw. BAT OUT OF HELL (6) fifth up tonight and will find this easier after running fourth over 1550m at Randwick Kensington in BM78 class on October 30. Due for a change of luck. RONNY ROCK ART (9) tough old gelding racing well on the country tracks and deserves his shot in this stronger contest. Drops 6.5kg here after sitting on the speed when a fighting nose second over 1600m at Canberra in BM65 company on November 5. Will hold a forward position and give plenty of cheek. PATRIKA MIST (5) finally drawn a low gate fourth up and back sharply in class. Trapped wide when a gritty ninth over 1500m at Rosehill on November 2. Expecting more from the low draw.
