RACE 1 - The opener looks a two-horse race. NO WHISPERING (1) jumped a 9-4 chance a this track last time out and faded late, beaten just 1L. He looks to get plenty of favours up front from a nice alley and if he can run up to his best figures, he'll take beating. ONEMOREFORLEO (2) appears the main danger following a 0.4L defeat last time out, beating No Whispering. He did start a longer price than No Whispering, but he maps for a similar run this time. Ticking along nicely and gets his chance today. FLOPPY (3) ran around behind No Whispering and Onemoreforleo last start and has some claims with that form line appearing the strongest. DANCING JACK (4) is next best.
RACE 2 - DE ZANE GREY (1) has had aplenty of goes now but looks to have found the right race for him today. Disappointing last start but his prior efforts stack up strongly and he should get every chance from the draw. Not an overly strong race today and he can score his first win. JET PLANES (6) stuck on well enough on debut over 1100m and the rise in trip looks perfect for him. The stable keep their strike jockey in the saddle and the blinkers replace the visors today. Expecting a much better effort in a scenario which appears more to his liking. IFFUBLUSH (4) chased home a smart one two back before a disappointing effort in a strong maiden here most recently. Cooper hops back in the saddle and her 2kg claim is a big help. Drawn well and won't be far away. MISS BOUDICA (5) didn't come up last campaign but the figures from her debut preparation stack up nicely. Has claims.
RACE 3 - ZING TO WIN (2) has done nothing wrong of late, being slowly away most recently and just missing in a feature race last time out. He's well weighted in this event today and has improved with every run this time in. Sure to sit closer today and can go one better. CAN'T BE DONE (1) was only fair in the same race on resumption when finishing back in the field, though he does improve sharply second-up and this looks a much better scenario for him. The apprentice claim comes in handy and with improvement expected, he'll be hard to hold out. LOVE DRUNK BABY (4) just missed in easier company last start when sitting on the speed and gets in light after the claim of Cooper. He can get to the front, dictate, and take catching with no weight on his back. BAALBEK (3) loves this track and trip and is much better than we saw most recently. Can turn his form around.
RACE 4 - PLEASE MIZTER (1) is a 3YO at the top of the weights which is a tough ask, but he looks far better than the competition he's up against today. The rise up to the mile shouldn't be an issue now and he looks as though he can go on to better races than this. RULING DAME (2) went around in a good race last start on Cup day here and was only 2L off the winner over 1400m. Now out to the mile again where she has placed previously and she looks to get the run of the race. Can go one better this time. SERVICEMAN (6) will most likely sit in the second half of the field but will be storming home at the finish. He only just missed here two back behind a smart one. PERFECT BUBBLES (5) is next best with the blinkers going on first time.
RACE 5 - SCIENCE DEGREE (2) was far too good over this course and distance last start as favourite, bolting away to win by 4.6L. Hard to see anyone turning the tables as he can press on and lead again from the draw. Expecting a similar performance today. STYLE DIVA (4) went for a spell following a disappointing run in this grade here back in May. Resumes without a trial, though she was a debut winner at this course and distance. Can feature if she's fit enough first-up. DREAM BROOK (5) is best of the rest from an inside barrier.
RACE 6 - SECRET ATTIRE (4) bolted in first-up over this course and distance 18 days ago and the form out of that has stacked up nicely. She usually improves with a run under her belt as well. Maps for a similar run today and if she can improve again off that run then it's hard to see her getting beat. HIDDEN RUBY (1) jumped a 2-1 chance last start but was no match in a small field. This may suit her a little better, though she is likely to be back in the run. Boasts a strong record here though and the 2kg claim comes in handy. Expecting a better run this time around. BLUE CAN TALK (5) ran behind Secret Attire last start beaten 2.6L, though she does meet the top pick much better at the weights. She's a third-up winner in the past and can go close. DREAMERS NEVER DIE (3) got the job done as favourite last time out and has to be included.
RACE 7 - FLOBA (4) comes through a good race last start and the form may have been franked again by this point of the day. He maps for a lovely run from the inside alley and while he hasn't won for a while, he's showing positive signs. Can end the drought today. TWIST OF GOLD (2) faded badly first-up over 1200m here after leading the field turning for home. She has the speed to offset the wide draw and dropping back to this trip looks a big tick. Expecting a much better run this time around. DUBLIN RED (7) ran on well from the back last start over 1200m and draws a much better gate this time. Coming back in trip is a little niggle, but Fiore sticks and she's right in this if she can run up to her best figures. BLITZEM BABE (8) produced a strong effort first-up to just miss and can give a bold sight once again. AWEEMAWAY (6) is better than he showed last start and is worth including.
