RACE 1 - HEAVY METAL (2) got bumped coming out of the barriers and lost the rider first-up at Northam when favourite there. Her form last campaign is superb and the form out of her last start has stacked up nicely. Just needs to keep the jock on board this time to be shedding the maiden tag. RIVER ANGEL (9) bumped into one on debut at Northam 20 days ago when beaten 3.7L when leading for home. Fitter for that run and Pike sticking adds confidence. There's already been a winner come out of that event where she jumped favourite and she's expected to go close once again. DIVINE IMPACT (6) gets the blinkers on first time following a nice trial coming into this event. Chris Parnham sticks with the filly and she's been in tougher company than this through the start of her career. Draws well and won't be far away. GREAT EMOTION (5) can improve dropping back to this trip from a good gate. ON JUST TERMS (8) has trialled nicely and is not to be discounted.

RACE 2 - GOD'S GATE (11) comes through a good race at Northam where the form may have been franked in Race 1. He draws a much better gate today and drops in weight under the conditions. He ticks plenty of boxes and looks open to plenty of improvement. Can get the job done this time. SURROUND ME (10) is on debut for Pike and Team Williams and has shown ability at the trials, particularly when Pike was on board. She draws to get her chance and a few of the horses she's trialled around have shown good ability. Expected to put her best foot forward. COME ON EMMA (16) showed enough on debut when running on well from the back over 1000m a fortnight ago. She does rise in weight, but the extra trip looks to suit and she's sure to be storming home from well back once again. SIXINCH HEELS (14) comes through the same race as Come On Emma and has strong claims. DIAMOND DANCER (13) was tested at a higher level last preparation and has trialled well coming into this.

RACE 3 - BE BARDOT (4) got the job done in fine style last start to break her maiden, running away to win by 2.2L. The rise in trip looks ideal and she maps to get a similar run this time around for Pike. Looks to have plenty of ability and she can bring up back-to-back wins. SIMPLY THINKIN' (2) returned in fine style over this trip at Bunbury, storming home to just miss out by 0.3L. She draws a much better gate this time and CJP hops in the saddle. She's a second-up winner in the past and she'll take plenty of beating with improvement expected. KINELLINS LEGACY (1) went all the way to the Oaks last campaign where she was beaten a long way, but her runs prior were fantastic. She's trialled well coming into this and she's sure to be strong to the line. CHAMPEZE (3) has been racing in tougher company of late and is sure to make her presence felt coming back to the midweeks. RANDOM REWARDS (6) can peak third-up and out in trip with the aid of an inside alley.

RACE 4 - COSMIC ECLIPSE (5) got the job done narrowly at Bunbury, holding on in a photo finish to get her first win. Fitter again now with Pike remaining in the saddle. Looks to get his chance once again and with further improvement anticipated, she can win again. ELBOW LOUNGE (1) ran on strongly from near the back of the field to finish 1.7L off the winner over this course and distance in tougher grade. The form out of that race has been superb, with 3 subsequent winners from 7 starts. Drawn the inside pole now and the claim helps. Live chance. FIVE DOWN (2) resumes today after a disappointing campaign last time in work. They tipped him out and started again, with Parnham hopping back in the saddle a good sign. Drawn nicely and can bounce back in a big way. SOLAR SYSTEM (4) has trialled impressively coming into this and can put his best foot forward. BONNY ROCK (3) is better than she showed last start and can bounce back.

RACE 5 - MINE HOST (5) has been racing in top order of late, winning again last start in a photo finish. He draws a much better gate this time and Chris Parnham hops in the saddle for the first time. He rates highly off his latest effort and he's expected to go back-to-back. CENTRE BOND (2) ran on well last start to just miss by 3.1L behind a good winner at this track and trip. This looks to set up similarly for him and he should be getting right to his best now. Has plenty of scope for improvement and will be in the finish. ONE PUNCH (4) is better than he showed last start when beaten 5.3L. His prior effort here behind Mine Host was very good and he gets a weight swing in his favour. Sure to be in the finish. PROPHET AND POWER (1) has trialled well coming into this and it wouldn't surprise to see him continue his winning ways. HOT PUDDIN (6) was sound first-up at Bunbury and can build on that effort.

RACE 6 - L'IL CAPRI (8) ran over the top to win by 0.4L over 1400m at Bunbury last start and rises up to the mile today which looks to suit. The sticky draw isn't an issue and Pike sticking with the mare is a big tick. Has plenty of upside and if she can continue to improve, she should be winning this. ROYAL LAW (2) got the job done as favourite last start at Northam when scoring by 1L over the mile. Chris Parnham hops in the saddle after Pike rode him last start/ Looks to get a similar run here and he's sure to be there at the finish. AUDIO BOY (3) closed off well over 1400m first-up and should be fitter for that effort, with the rise in trip suiting him second-up. Expect him to sit much closer today from an inside alley and the booking of CJP suggests he's ready to fire. Right in this at his best. WHY ME (6) wasn't far away in Saturday grade last start and has claims. MORE SPECIAL (7) can find the front and be in this for a long way.

RACE 7 - OUTFIELD (1) bounced back last start in Saturday grade when running a good race behind a progressive type last time out. He has the speed to cross from out wide and he's a fit horse. Expected to take plenty of catching from out in front. RISEANFALL (5) was super last campaign and looks to have returned in similar order judging by his recent trial. Brandon Louis knows the mare well and she still has scope for improvement. Can roll forward and be prominent for a long way. WESTCOAST EXPRESS (9) was only fair in a couple of good races at the end of last campaign and this looks to suit him nicely based on those figures. Right down in the weights and his trial was solid. Can be in the finish if he picks up where he left off. SWIM THROUGH (4) resumes without a trial, though the booking of Pike suggests he's tracking along nicely. Has to be included. CROSS STATEMENT (2) is better than he showed last start and usually bounces back third-up.
