Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 12.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Armidale, Warren, Ararat, Benalla, Gatton, Naracoorte and York.
ARMIDALE: RACE 7 @ 5:10 PM
GOLD COUNTER (4) handy type near his top for this third-up. Up in distance after running on late when second over 1000m at Taree on October 20. Can go one better despite drawing out. SHOOTING ZAA (10) win record hardly excites but has a tidy record over this trip. Taken back from the wide gate when a poor 11th over 1280m at Muswellbrook on October 23. Makes plenty of appeal on best form. OUTTA DE LADY (6) resumed with a strong win two back before jumping in grade when a tiring ninth over 1200m at Coonabarabran on October 22. Fitter now and expecting more from the inside gate. VOLFONI (8) next best.
SELECTIONS: Gold Counter to win.

WARREN: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM
TRANSPLANT (1) found a Randwick Highway too rich a couple of weeks back after winning first-up at Dubbo. Better placed this time and a clever 3kg claim helps. Expect her to bounce back to form. CASTLEBAR ROAD (2) has been about the mark but not threatening to win of late in shorter races. Steps up to 1200m for just the second time in what looks a shrewd option. Stick with him. ILLUSIVE STAR (7) led and gave a nice kick but found one marginally better last time out over 1400m at Wellington. Will be prominent in transit again and back to this trip she will be tough to reel in. CELTIC HARP (3) was a bit plain at Bathurst last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and is capable of improvement.
SELECTIONS: Transplant the one to beat.
ARARAT: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
BOLDINHO (3) has won two of his past three including last start when proving too strong on the pace for a handy 3yo in Pantelone. Appears to have raced himself back into form and if he holds it he'll take plenty of beating here. SANDY PRINCE (4) was sound first up at Geelong in a decent race. He'll strip much fitter for that and the slight rise to 1300m suits. Can push forward and rates as a big danger. CRESTANI (5) can mix his form and has been poor his past two but the run prior rates right in the finish here. AIRCLASH (10) was good first up at Horsham and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Boldinho on top.
BENALLA: RACE 7 @ 5:15 PM
WETAKEMANHATTAN (4) tough old gelding who resumed with the 60kg when a dominant 1.3 len winner over 2000m at Warrnambool in easier company on October 23. Goes just as well second-up and looks to have come back in good order. NEVER AGAIN (5) finished sixth in the Harry White LR three back at Mornington. Battled away late when fifth over 2000m at St Arnaud on October 28. Blinkers come off and expected to improve sharply. PRIVILEGED SON (8) win record hardly excites but getting up to his right trip now. Returned with a fast finishing third over 1606m at this track on October 30. Sharp drop in weight and will handle the rise in grade. SWEET BELLA (9) fitter after two runs back and this looks easier after finishing fifth over 1600m at Moonee Valley on November 3. On the quick back-up and stays in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Wetakemanhattan to win.
GATTON: RACE 4 @ 2:25 PM
LEERY (6) will find this easier than the last attempt at Doomben and was an eye-catcher when hitting the line well for fourth at Warwick the run before. Reaching peak fitness fourth up. Winning chance. LIZZIE'S PRIDE (7) is consistent having placed in four of five runs since a maiden win at Toowoomba. Only beaten 2L into third over a similar trip last start. Major player. GRACIE BLUE (4) will be fitter for recent racing and the step up in journey should suit so can do better. Looking for a better showing from POSTWICK (1) going up in distance at his second local run.
SELECTIONS: Leery to win back in grade.
NARACOORTE: RACE 2 @ 2:05 PM
BATTLE ROYALE (1) progressed nicely at the latest when beaten a whisker at Port Lincoln. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. HENRY'S FAITH (9) has been thereabouts in her two runs back without threatening the winner. Strips fitter and should be nearing her peak third up. One of the key runners. HASTA LA WIZARD (3) showed positive signs when resuming off a long break at Hamilton, but hasn't quite been able to go on with. Inside draw and the booking of Dom Tourneur read favourably. Don't dismiss. FRESH AIR FRED (2) has struggled to fire a shot this time in but should find this easier. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Going Battle Royale to win.
YORK: RACE 1 @ 1:10 PM
BLAZING EMERALD (9) will be fitter for two trials coming in as she looks to kick start her 3YO season with what looks an easy kill. Spent her first campaign in town, being tried in much tougher races than this. Can round these up and secure her maiden victory. DE LA BEAUTE (3) has had a few cracks at breaking her maiden, but was very good last start at Bunbury over 1108m. Fitter again third-up and although the wide draw is some concern, she can race her way into the finish. MISS FLIRTACIOUS (7) just missed first-up at Northam in a tougher race than this, tiring late to finish 1.3L off the winner. Was long odds there but outperformed her market expectation and a repeat effort will see her about the finish. CANGGU (5) disappointed his WA debut but gets the blinkers on now and a drop in trip. Can improve. HOTLIPS LILL (10) can work into the placings on best form.
SELECTIONS: Blazing Emerald the one to beat.
