The Jess Tubbs-prepared mare will feature in the $150,000 Group 1, The Great Square alongside already locked in and fellow Victorian the David Miles-prepared Rockinwithattitude.

Shes Ruby Roo has already been showered in Group 1 glory before, taking out the 2023 Victoria Trotters Oaks.

The Myrniong horsewoman is excited to take the squaregaiter over to Queensland for the carnival.

"It's a thrill to be invited to compete in The Great Square," Tubbs said." The guys in Queensland have done a fantastic job in building the winter carnival to new heights and we are excited to be playing a small part in it."

The four-year-old will be making a stop in New South Wales before continuing up the east coast.

Tubbs is confident the daughter out of Princessa Ruth will handle the travel.

"She handled the trip to Sydney really well last time, so we have faith she will travel up there just fine," she said.

"She will be racing in Sydney this weekend, then heading up from there so it will break the trip up for her."

The 37-year-old is confident that her squaregaiter can bring her A-game come, July 13th.

"There are a few really smart trotters in the race," she said. "Whilst we know how talented she is, she will need to bring every bit of it to the table on the night."

Shes Ruby Roo has saluted on three occasions from six starts in 2024, with her lifetime prize money just under $152,000.
