Bendigo Race 6 - Tewkesbury

This Tony & Calvin Mcevoy gelding was set an almighty task here, wide without cover throughout and pushing forward on a very strong tempo. The leaders dropped out the back of the screen in the straight as he took over but the effort told, fading to finish third. With a kinder run he wins this and getting to 2400m or even further next time out he can atone.

Randwick Kensington Race 1 - Just A Journey

Another smart win from this Justify filly who again led throughout to score in testing conditions in good time. The overall time may be somehwat due to this being the first race but even still, it stacks up very well against the boys one race later. No doubt she'll stay a mile strongly and connections could be tempted to have a roll of the dice in a JJ Atkins, especially if the track were wet.
