Best bets for big 10-race card at Murray Bridge on Saturday.
Staying away from what looks an open feature in the 3 & 4 YO Classic, we head to the race prior for my best bet and it's Gawnski from the Jason Warren camp.
The four-year-old finished full of running up the inside to score by a neck last start at headquarters. With times telling us he had a bit up his sleeve, Gawnski is open to further improvement fourth-up and should relish the rise to 1800m.
From the inside alley, expect Todd Pannell to be more forward on his mount and have plenty left in the locker when they sprint. Hard not to see him repeating the dose.
A couple of races earlier Ad Astra has again come up a very short quote. I want to take her on after getting burnt first-up and Miss Slipstream looks capable of upsetting the Hickmott filly.
This three-year-old daughter of Ilovethiscity caught the eye here last start when weaving a passage up the fence to grab third from an unfavourable spot in running. The subsequent form from the maiden has stacked right up in 56 days and she holds plenty of intrigue dropping back to 1000m of a freshen.
Rochelle Milnes takes over from Kayla Crowther and I'm hoping she gets her to land in a more prominent position from the inside alley. Still lightly raced, Miss Slipstream is open to sharp improvement and I think she can get the job done.
