RACE 1 - Tough race to start the day with plenty of chances. HORSESHOE HILL (11) displayed a solid turn of foot down the outside when resuming with a tough win over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Should have come on strongly and bred to get through the going. RAGING FORCE (1) nice gelding blessed with good early speed chasing his third straight victory. Had the race won a long way out when a dominant winner over 1100m at Randwick Kensington. Will take control early and prove hard to catch. JUST AWESOME (5) from the in-form Blake Ryan yard and looks to have plenty of upside. Taken straight to the front on debut when an effortless winner over 1100m at Gosford. Capable in this stronger contest. BARKING MAD (6) Wootton Bassett colt from stakes-winning mare Invincibella on debut for the Waller yard. Shown ability in his trials and will handle the going. LULL (12) back in grade and trip when a sharp winner at her second start at Kembla. Keep safe.
RACE 2 - IRON MAN (1) smart gelding who finds his race today on the quick back-up. Returned good figures late when an eye-catching fourth over this track and trip last Saturday in BM78 grade. Handles the conditions and will take holding out. EQUILIBRIST (7) loves the slop and has a massive fitness edge over most of these. Taken back from the sticky draw last Saturday, before weaving his way between runners with a gritty fourth in this company over 1300m. Can race closer from the draw and figure prominently. ZOURIPPER (3) looks to have come back a more polished product this time in after returning with a slick victory over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Big jump in grade but gets in light with the claim. Each way player. CLOSE ENCOUNTER (10) strengthened over the break and starting to hit his straps. Deserves his chance here after rounding them up effortlessly over 1100m at Nowra in C3 class. AFRICAN DAISY (5) is fitter after two runs back and expected to improve with the blinkers going on.
RACE 3 - EXIT FEE (6) progressive gelding who was held up slightly in the straight, before angling out and charging late for a narrow second over 1200m at Randwick on resumption. Bred to handle the conditions and expected to go one better. LUNAITE (4) improving filly going quickly through her grades. Sat on a solid tempo when a fighting third over 1300m at Randwick in BM72 class. Undefeated on heavy tracks and winning rider is back aboard. Expected to take a hand in the finish despite drawing out. LORDSTER (3) resumes with an impeccable heavy track record. Proven at this level and his two searching trials look to have him primed for this. Each way. LET'S GO BRANDON (10) lightly raced gelding who handled the class rise with ease when demolishing a handy field over 1100m at Goulburn. Can handle the conditions at the each way odds. MARTINI MUMMA (5) is more than capable on her day and strips fitter for this after racing in stronger grade at latest. The chances don't end there.
RACE 4 - FIRST MISSION (6) underrated gelding who gets the right set up for this on his favoured conditions. Fourth up now and drops 5kg in weight after sitting on the speed for a tough second over 1250m at Canterbury. Races best with his runs spaced and will prove hard to run down. CODETTA (1) two runs back have been sound and looking for the 1300m now. Kept finding down the outside when a plugging third over 1100m at this track. Tempo suits and McMurray's claim keeps her in the contest. DIDDLE DUMPLING (4) has always possessed above average ability and this could be the prep where she goes on with it. Will go back from the draw and finish off strongly. GATEKEEPER (7) sharp Justify gelding who beat a handy field on debut over 1250m at Canterbury last January. Given the two trials in readiness for this and expected to take the next step. SAKIMA (5) disappointed at her first run back and gets the claim from the sticky draw. Placed at Listed level and stays in the mix.
RACE 5 - TARPAULIN (5) above average sprinter gelded over the break. Returns in a winnable race after having mixed luck at Group and Listed level last time in. Has impressed in both trials and his two wins have come on heavy tracks. Will be charging late. STORM THE RAMPARTS (1) courageous on pace sprinter racing in career best form. Adept in all conditions and will prove hard to run down after being nailed on the line when second over 1000m at Randwick. SHALL BE (4) progressive gelding who deserves his chance in this company first up. Came ahead in leaps and bounds last campaign and drawn to get the right run with Osmond's 2kg claim. Fitted with the one 845m trial and not to be underestimated. DEPRIVATION (2) back in class for this and expecting improvement on the rain affected track. Far from disgraced when seventh over 1100m at Canterbury in BM88 grade. Value prospect. ZARAGOZA (9) comes here in peak condition, and he looks the pick of the rest.
RACE 6 - HI DUBAI (1) just under a month between runs when gripping on late for a narrow third over 1000m at Randwick in this class. Gets the right run again and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. SAVAGERY VIBE (10) Nick Ryan-trained filly who comes from Victoria third up. Came out neutral and was strong late down the outside when fourth over 1100m at Flemington. Should handle the going and get the good run from the draw. Each way. QUEEN OF THE MILE (3) proven at this level and has excellent second up credentials. Attacked the line strongly on resumption when fourth over 1000m at Randwick. Looks set for a good prep. LET'S GO AGAIN (8) improving mare who deserves her chance in this stronger contest. Will roll forward from the draw and figure prominently. USEAPIN (7) best of the rest with her handy fresh record. Watch for her late.
RACE 7 - CORMAC T (8) winning rider hops back aboard after ending up six wide from a low draw and disappointing when tenth over 2000m at this track. Likely to push forward from the gate and hold a position. Handles rain affected going and expected to bounce back. GOOD BANTER (15) has needed the three runs to bring her to her top and since fitted with a 1100m tick over trial. Both her wins have come on heavy tracks and proven at the distance. GENTILESCHI (14) Scone-trained mare with her hoof on the till fifth up. Stalked the tempo but failed to match it with She's Unusual over the final 200m when second at Randwick over 1800m. Ready for this trip now, and a repeat effort will see her go close. SOUNDS UNUSUAL (7) stretches out to the 2000m for the first time after getting out of his ground when an even eighth over 1600m at Randwick. Drops in weight and can surprise at the good each way odds. ASSAILANT (17) imported gelding kept fresh for this at his third Australian start. Stays in the mix.
RACE 8 - WORLD ALLIANCE (8) proven at this level and looking for the 1200m now. Rounded them up with ridiculous ease when saluting over 1100m at Canterbury. Gets the required fast tempo again and will be charging late. FULLY LIT (9) two runs back have been acceptable and will find this more to his liking. Folded up late when fifth over 1200m at Randwick in BM94 class. Winning rider back aboard and adept in all conditions. KING OF ROSEAU (11) comes here in peak condition after returning to form with a slashing win from well back over 1300m at this track. Not sure the inside barrier will suit at this stage of the afternoon. Nevertheless, keep safe. FLEETWOOD (4) disappointed in three runs back and worth noting he's undefeated on heavy tracks. Has a good record at this track and trip and his latest tick over trial had merit. Stays in the mix. DOLLAR MAGIC (14) Scone-trained mare with the upside to take a hand in the finish third up. Given a recent 1000m tick over trial and gets her chance.
RACE 9 - THUNDERLIPS (10) keeps raising the bar and is building a solid winning CV. Capable at this level after crushing his rivals with the 59kg when a surging head winner over the 1500m here last Saturday. Only has to back-up to win again. ACCREDITED (4) was a month between runs when back to the 1200m for a dominant victory over 1200m at Randwick. Returned excellent figures on that occasion and maps to get a similar set up. Genuine top three prospect. WHINCHAT (8) slowly working his way into form but can't draw a decent gate. Saves his best for this track and trip and will prove hard to run down if he can get a breather mid race. WELWAL (2) nearing a win and will relish the heavy conditions. Produced fast closing splits when a slashing second in the LR Civic Stakes over this trip at Randwick. Gets a fast tempo today and will take holding out. GREEN FLY (13) kept fresh and since fitted with a 740m tick over trial. Drops 5.5kg for this and not to be overlooked.
RACE 10 - KERGUELEN (5) loves the heavy going and looking for the 1400m now third up. Solid run from the wide draw when covering ground to finish a close up fourth over 1200m at Randwick in BM94 class. In form apprentice rides and gets a much better run from the low draw. Expected to bounce back. BRAVE ONE (10) progressive gelding who chased gamely when second to Kerguelen two back at this track. Dropped in grade when a well deserved winner over 1300m at Randwick. That win had merit and has the speed to get cover early. Goes close. SACRED ROCKS (12) exciting mare who looks destined for bigger things. Powered down the outside when defeating a handy field over the 1300m at this track second up. No shock to see her make it three straight wins. HELL TO PAY (17) comes here in peak condition deep into the prep and won't know herself with the 54kg. Must be respected if she gains a start. MORTLAKE (18) classy import who surged late at his first Australian start. Will improve as he gets out in trip.
