RACE 1 - TOUGH GUY (3) returns from a sixteen-week spell and has transferred to the Melissa Dennett stable. Opened last prep with a couple of sound efforts in Victoria, the sort of form that measures up well in this company. Trialled nicely at Scone on 25 June. Will be at a very short quote but should be winning. STOLEN SHOW (2) backs up seven days after making late ground to finish fourth over this course and distance. Slowly putting it together and in this shallow field he is the logical threat. CAPSITY (8) on debut looks the only other chance following a couple of sound recent trials. Next best is FRESH IS BEST (5) who might need more time based on two plain efforts at the trials.

RACE 2 - YOUR TEMPTATION (3) was handy on the corner before dropping out over 2000m at Taree on Monday. Was found to have choked down that day so the tongue tie goes on. That should spark improvement and on his best form a win is not out of reach. IMEZAAKI (2) settled back in the field and lacked the turn of foot required over 1600m at Coonamble last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and needs this sort of trip now. Lightly raced maiden MISS YOU SO (9) raced on the pace but couldn't quicken over the mile at this track most recently. Should relish getting to this trip for the first time so watch for sharp improvement. SHAMISTER (5) backs up five days after charging home to just miss over 2200m at Dubbo. Doesn't win out of turn but he is going better than most of these. Maiden LIBBY (7) has been in the money at her last three. May need this coming off a five-week break but worth including in exotics.

RACE 3 - YANABAH (7) registered his fifth minor placing from nine starts when a fast-finishing second over 1450m at Muswellbrook last time out. Very fit four-year-old who only needs to run up to that last effort to be a major player. HALLE BEE (9) went straight to the lead and tried hard but found one better last Friday over this course and distance. Has now been in the money at eight of twelve runs over 1400m. Sure to feature again. HARDHEAD (3) came from midfield to just miss the placings at his latest appearance over 1300m at Narromine. Has been in the money twice, both times at today's journey. Draws the fence so he should get all the favours. SPACETIME LEGEND (5) wasn't beaten far when resuming over 1280m at Muswellbrook three weeks ago. Better placed today and from a good draw is a genuine contender. REAL HOUSEWIVES (14) is one for the wider exotics on a seven-day back-up.

RACE 4 - LOUISBURGH (2) has been in the money at all three runs this prep, each time on the provincial circuit. Raced handy then battled on okay for third at the latest appearance over 1300m at Newcastle. Down in class today so despite coming back in trip he looks the testing material. JUSTICE WARRIOR (1) continued a frustrating run for connections last time out, recording his eighth minor placing over 1350m at Wyong after leading for home. Gets in well after the claim and back in a country maiden he poses a serious threat. XERXES (5) is back from a sixteen-week spell. Placed at four of five runs in his maiden prep. Expect him to be ready to run well. ARTIE'S MAGIC (6) gets a pass mark for his debut over 1000m here recently. Worth following. SNAP DECISION (4) on debut for the Cody Morgan stable is very short in early markets so must have more to offer than what we have seen at the trials.

RACE 5 - MEGA FIGHT (6) made a midrace move to find the lead then tired to finish midfield last start over 1512m at Port Macquarie. That run followed a forty-five-day break so he will tighten right up for this. Best form comes at the mile - this looks a nice race. VISUALISE (13) continued the solid form this prep when he led but just failed to hold on over 1400m at this track last time out. Placed two back at his only run over this trip. Sure to give them something to catch. Consistent filly HIBIKI HARMONY (14) was there on the bend but was overwhelmed late and just missed the placings at her latest run over 1300m at Scone. Up in class but gets some welcomed weight relief. Will give backers a sight. ARRABBIATA (11) backs up seven days after a respectable effort over 1400m here. Hasn't won for ages but is very fit and should be thereabouts. Consistent four-year-old THE GREAT ARMADA (4) is a three-time winner at this distance so don't rule him out.

RACE 6 - INJAIR (11) scored first-up then had his chance but was a shade disappointing over 1300m at Coonamble last time out. Has never fired second-up so it is worth forgiving that performance. Big chance with luck from a sticky gate. REMBROY (6) returned from a long spell with a comfortable maiden win over 1000m at this track recently. Nicely drawn and with the confidence up he can go right on with the job. HEFTY PRICE (10) recorded ten minor placings before finally breaking his maiden over 1100m at Dubbo last Sunday. In the mix again on the quick back-up. Consistent sprinter TAKEOVER LAD (3) has placed at all three Tamworth runs and is at his best over this trip. Racing very well and must be considered. WESTERN CONQUEROR (1) resumes. Didn't come up last prep during which he switched stables. Has had more time with Stirling Osland now and could be the big improver this time in work.

RACE 7 - HOLLYWOOD GOLD (1) came with a well-timed run from worse than midfield to just prevail over 1300m at Coonamble last time out. Small query coming back in trip but he never runs a bad race and should be getting home hard again. DIAMONDSAREMIO (6) went close two back over today's journey at Moree then found 1000m too slick at Coffs Harbour most recently. Likely to run a big race with winkers going on for the first time. CHEAP GAS (5) caught the eye at the end of 1100m at Coonamble last start. In the mix over an extra 100m third-up. ACOTANGO (9) turned in a real eye-catcher at Coonamble recently. At his best around this circuit so deserves plenty of thought. MIKE (11) hasn't raced for around a year. Has ability so keep an eye out for any positive market activity.

RACE 8 - NOT WRITTEN OFF (7) returned from a six-month break with a dominant all-the-way win over this distance at Muswellbrook last start. Bolted in at Scone in a subsequent trial. Ideal gate and beautifully weighted so another win looms. OUR BOY OLLIE (1) did a good job to just miss the placings when fresh from a spell over 1200m here last Friday. This is a shade easier so with the run under the belt he looks a serious threat. WHO GOES THERE (3) resumes. Scored here at this distance in a BM82 last prep. Track specialist who cannot be ruled out. JET EMPRESS (5) was narrowly defeated first-up over today's journey at Dubbo recently. Boasts outstanding 1000m stats so leave her out at your peril. Track specialist OLLIE'S SECRET (4) is back for another campaign. Will be better for the run but he has won two from three at this track. Good each-way hope.
