RACE 1 - OVER DRAFT (6) was well backed at debut effort when runner-up at Toowoomba, and will have taken plenty from that run. Expect he will be improving today against this lot. Stick with. MOOCHI STARLIGHT (4) has moved up from NSW where he cut his teeth in some tougher provincial races. Would be keeping him very safe today in what looks to be an easier assignment. EL FORTRESS (3) has moved up from Victoria and falls into the same boat as Moochi Starlight. Might just prove a cut above these. WARHOL (10) has been thereabouts this campaign and looks an each-way chance while UPTURN (11) comes into this off a last-start 5th at Kilcoy and is not without some hope.
RACE 2 - Terrific race and a host of decent chances. DRANG A TANG (4) is third-up and ready to fire after a much improved showing when running 2nd from last on the turn at Toowoomba. Major player. CANNY BE BETTER (3) looks to be the most consistent galloper in this field, and is bursting to win another race. Raced home to miss by 0.5 len in latest showing at this track, and can go one better today. UNIVERSAL HARMONY (5) was a bit off last time, but prior form was very solid and he can bounce right back here. FORTRESS AUSTRALIA (2) resumes and is no stranger to restarting with a bang. Must be respected. BIOGRAPHER (1) is another resuming, and lands in a winnable looking race today so keep very safe.
RACE 3 - ENFORCEABLE (1) is potentially a cut above these on what we've seen so far. Narrowly missed at Sunshine Coast latest after leading throughout, and will no doubt try to lead them up again here. Should take plenty of catching. WHATTA MISSION (2) resumes after showing promise in her first campaign. Finds a nice looking race today and can come back with a bang. NEXT LEGACY (11) rates well for this and hasn't been far off in two runs to date. Worth consideration. NOTFORTHEMONEY (6) shapes as the best of the debutants after a handy trial here on June 23. MILK MAID (10) next in line after only missing 1.0 len in latest effort at this track. Don't dismiss.
RACE 4 - HEY JEALOUSY (11) led them on a merry dance two weeks back at this track, and a similar performance might just be enough to win this again. Major contender. LONE ARTIST (4) has been given a bit of a freshen up and looks ready to win again after finishing in the frame in both runs this campaign. VICTORY'S GHOST (6) looks to be right around the mark and could finish over the top of these without surprising. LITTLE SPARK (13) produced a strong race to finish 3rd in the latest at Toowoomba and a repeat performance would have her right there when the whips are cracking at the end of this race. BRANDS (3) only narrowly missed resuming and should improve from that. Do not dismiss.
RACE 5 - One of the more intriguing races on the card, and might be prudent to go a bit wide in the quaddie. HE'S POPLAR (8) has been kept on the fresh side since a big maiden win at this track 35 days ago. Looks capable of going right on with the job. NEPTUNE LEGEND (12) is fit and consistent, and lobs into a winnable race today. Not to be taken lightly. GENERAL HIPPO (1) improved a long way last time to win at this track over 1400m. Looks well in the mix again with a repeat performance. AOOM'S CHOICE (13) is in good form off a maiden win over this trip at Toowoomba. No reason to jump off. MADALSA (9) should push forward and can give a damn good sight second-up.
RACE 6 - Another intriguing rendition of the Newmarket. SHA OF GOMER (3) goes on top after narrowly missing in the Eye Liner at Ipswich last time. A repeat performance would probably be good enough to win this. HE'S HEAVEN (4) won easily at Eagle Farm last time in BM 85 grade, and should be right around the money again on current form. SECRET PLAN (2) has been kept fresh for this off a win at Casino and is not without each-way hopes. DEMON AWARD (6) was a big winner here when last seen on June 20. Up in grade now but deserves his spot in this field. Don't dismiss. MASTER MONTARO (7) had a near miss on June 12 at his first run for the new stable up here, and is expected to measure up.
RACE 7 - Easily the hardest race on the card. AFFINITY FLYER (2) won well at Doomben last time out in a BM 70 and that type of form reads superbly well for a race like this. Can be winning this. DREAM SMART (6) drops back in grade today and has the ratings to give this an almighty shake. ULUWATU (7) won by a nose as favourite last time in at Toowoomba, and looks like a horse who hasn't yet found her ceiling. Keep very safe. EL OF A SENORITA (14) is usually around the mark and that should be the case again today. GLASS OF ROSE (9) won two back at Ipswich and that kind of form should stand up here. CELESTIAL HARBOUR (1), HEARSAY (5) and STREET GLORY (8) could all prevail without providing, likewise TIGON PRINCESS (11).
RACE 8 - Couple of handy ones here, led by GIN A TONIC (1) who was beaten a nose at Doomben in Open 3yo grade last time out. Backing up after nine days and this looks the perfect race for him to return to the winner's circle. Stay with. OUTBACK BANDIT (8) bolted in when resuming in easier than this, and should bring further improvement to the track today. Major contender. KAI MONDO (10) ran out of juice in the latest and drops back in trip for this assignment. Well up to running a big race here. I'M ZAC (2) had a bit go wrong at Dalby but still ran a good race. Each-way contender today. JACKA STANDS ALONE (3) next best.
