RACE 1 - This is the first meeting on the synthetic track and it will be interesting to see how it plays. Locally trained gallopers may be advantaged. Tricky. METALIC MARLIN (2) was tracking well before getting too far back at Northam. He's suited by the step up to 1800m and the in-form Fiore is reunited. GOLD ENIGMA (6) keeps improving and should run it right out. Pike rode last time and Watson is reunited. EXCAVATION (4) is the one with upside. Worked home well to find a place here on the turf on debut and gave every impression the step up in trip will suit. DISCO KICKS (5) hasn't been missing by far and also deserves consideration.

RACE 2 - PEANUT BUTTER (1) resumes and showed plenty in his first campaign in stronger races. Just missed here on the grass on debut ($2.45F) and has trialled at Lark Hill with race rider Fiore aboard. Will be naturally improved and sets a decent standard. MUZZA'S GIFT (7) debuts and has been well prepared. Her latest Lark Hill trial was sharp and Faithfull sticks from that. A bold run is on the cards. BARBIELAND (4) resumes and has switched from the Kendrick yard in SE Queensland. Just missed at the Sunshine Coast three back on debut and she won't have to be much improved. CHINESE DENTIST (2) is in good hands and is on a 7-day return. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and is ready to show more.

RACE 3 - The speedy CAPABLE ANGEL (6) resumes and should be suited around here. She's been stiff not to have broken through and was last seen beaten 1L from the front on the Scarpside. Fiore rides and that's a decent push for her chances. CHASON WINS (7) is also free running and brings three threatening efforts from the turf. Brad Parnham replaces Fiore and she should get every chance. The Luke Fernie yard and been going through a quiet patch and third-up BEYOND THE WALL (4) could bring some cheer. He's been briefly freshened and has plenty up his sleeve. Quick enough to use the inside barrier. G'DAY BLOKE (3) needs to find more but can squeeze into the frame.

RACE 4 - ON THE FULL (2) was narrowly beaten twice at Ascot and then went back and disappointed (jockey concerned with his action - vet cleared). He's been freshened and finds easier grade. Races forward and can bounce back. THIS'LL SHOW YA (3) was strong through the line winning at Ascot and resumed with a solid effort here on the grass in tougher company. The speedy filly will present fitter and the 3kg claim brings her right into it. PLAY DICE (1) resumes with Fiore a positive jockey engagement. Usually need one, but she's capable and is worth keeping on side. CRYSTALIST (7) resumes and goes okay fresh. He'd be around the mark presented on song.

RACE 5 - THE AGENCY (1) peaks and the colt is busting to win. Has a handy barrier and will position forward. The 3kg claim brings him right into it. RECONNAISSANCE (9) resumes gelded and his two trials at Lark Hill have been sharp. Fiore sticks from those and his debut effort at Ascot suggested better things to come. AUTHORATIVE (3) resumes and he missed narrowly here on the turf his last three outings. He gives away starts but finds a winnable assignment if presented on song. COSTA STAR (7) has been struggling to find her best and Fiore gets off. Regardless, Brad Parnham rides and she goes into the trifecta.

RACE 6 - GIRLS DAY OUT (2) peaks off narrow defeats in stronger Maidens - heavily bet her last two. Metro trained and is thrown in with the 4kg claim. She's likely to control the race and will lead them a merry chase. RIPPER FAROOQ (1) was around the mark at Ascot and Scarpside before being outgraded and spaced here on the turf at Stakes level. Much better placed and has claims. POINT OF CONFLICT (4) resumed with an easy Maiden win at Northam in a quick return to form. She's in a leading stable and has more to offer. Has to be kept onside. ONE TARGET (7) was plain on the grass here last time in a bit stronger, but his effort at Pinjarra prior wasn't too bad. He gives away starts but can run into the minor slot.

RACE 7 - Competitive. LANO (3) led and won a CL1 comfortably at Northam and then tackled a CL5 at Scarpside and wasn't too far away. He isn't foolproof but will push forward and Azzopardi rides for the first time. A chance to bounce. STATE OF FURY (4) peaks and her effort here two back on the turf stacks right up. Backs up quickly and the extra metres will suit. She will be hitting the line hard. SUNNY TIMES (6) has switched from a Victorian yard on a 47-day return. He'd be a chance at best and gets some key gear changes. Brings a 2.2L trial win from Belmont and that demands attention. AYUMI (2) had been tracking well on firm surfaces before a plain run on the slow at Northam stepping up to a mile. She keeps the 3kg claim and will use the inside barrier. Peaks and can go a lot better.
