RACE 1 - AFFAIRE VUE (8) can break her maiden first-up from a break here. She was great behind a subsequent city winner in a similar quality maiden first-up last campaign, then struggled up in distance and class deeper into her preparation. She's had a break and can fire fresh. AUGUST BONUS (1) makes the trip across from Horsham and his best Victorian form looks strong enough to measure up here. He's drawn well and gets a red-hot Jacob Opperman. BE RESPONSIBLE (3) is a first starter that has trialed well for the Jolly/Toeroek combination. That's enough to consider him an each-way chance. Include JEWELS CAPTAIN (6) and FAST TEMPO (4) in wider plays.

RACE 2 - Some speedy maidens set to line up over the 900m short course here. ANECDOTAL (3) could lead them up and will be hard to catch. He's improved with each run this preparation and was only narrowly defeated at his two most recent starts in Victoria. ANOTHER BRIDE (9) is a juvenile from the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable. She's trialed well and she gets some weight relief from the older horses here. Expect a bold showing first-up. RICH LADY (7) is crying out to win a maiden, with 10 placings from her 20 starts. It's hard to have winning confidence about her but you just know she's going to run well. CAPTAIN HAPPY (8) and ELEGANT LILLY (10) are stablemates from the Shane and Cassie Oxlade stable that are worth consideration.

RACE 3 - This looks the right race for LAYIN' UP (8) to break through for a win. She's placed in six of her eight career starts, including both runs this campaign. She'll be peaking third-up and should get the right run from a decent draw. GOLDEN MIKKI (3) is a Victorian with a few minor placings to his name. He doesn't need to improve too much on his best Victorian form to win this. BREAK THE TABOO (6) was hitting the line nicely at the end of 1200m on a heavy track first-up. Up to 1400m suits and she is a genuine top-three chance. CRACKEN GOOD TIME (1) is another that is building towards a peak run, while TENNESSEE MAGGIE (10) is an experienced maiden that can run a cheeky race.

RACE 4 - GOLD SPIRIT (7) is first-up into this and looks a great each-way bet based on his prior fresh form, including a 1000m maiden win at this track. He can go forward with the claim and be there when the race is won. HEAVEN ROCKS (5) is a progressive three-year-old who failed in a harder race last start. Take him on trust and he can follow up his impressive maiden win. HOOKED ON WEALTH (6) looks one of the main chances. He is a three-time winner and wasn't beaten far in a blanket finish first-up. Expect him to improve. MAGIC FIELD (2) and ARTISSI (10) have both shown a liking for the 900m short-course and can be included in exotics.

RACE 5 - TAMETOMO (13) looks ready to win third-up for the new stable. There has been merit in both of his runs this campaign and now he looks primed out to 1800m. Drawn perfectly and gets Toeroek on again. The best of RETOURNE (6) would give this race a shake but he only beat one rival home first-up. Take him on trust and include. SHINY ROCK (1) is a 12-time winner but he's been out of form. The 4kg claim brings him into it. If FIAMETTE (16) is within striking distance halfway up the straight, she can win with her booming turn of foot. She's racing well without winning, as is CHARTIN (10) who doesn't win out of turn but seems to be building towards one.

RACE 6 - SAV ON ICE (7) gets his chance to win another race here. He's going well but conceding too much of a start in stronger races. He's likely to get back here but will be thundering late, and, in this class, he can run them down with the claim. HEADPHONES (1) is a track and distance specialist and while she's getting on in age, her recent form suggests she's going well. She's another who will be hitting the line hard with the 4kg claim. COVERT WITNESS (11) is racing well in tougher grade and looks a genuine each-way chance in this. PRICILLA'S CHOICE (8) has plenty of class on her day but she does mix her form.

RACE 7 - HYSTERICAL LADY (11) looks to have found a winnable race back in grade. She was only five lengths off some nice types in a much stronger three-year-old race last start. She steps up 200m and draws well for Neindorf. She wasn't far off some handy types in her only 1400m run earlier in the autumn. She's the one to beat. Ratings suggest BIT OF A REBEL (1) is the best horse in the race and he comes into calculations with the 4kg claim for Sophie Potter. Expect him to roll forward and be in the thick of the action. MY CRACKLING (10), SCANDALIST (12) and FLIGHT DECK (15) are all mixing their form this campaign, but, at their respective best, each could measure up in this race.

RACE 8 - Local trainer Garret Lynch looks to have a strong hand in the last race with two key chances. With one exception, the recent form of DYLAN'S LAD (5) has been super, and he looks well placed to break through for another win here. A good draw, a handy claim, and the step back up to 1200m all look like positives for him. Stablemate INTACTO (13) has been very good in two runs this campaign and looks primed to run a big race third up. He's the main danger on the quick backup. OUR DIVINYL (7) is a great each-way chance on his best form, which includes a narrow placing over the track and distance several runs back. Consider LOCA BELLA (12) and SUNDOGG (2) if you're going wider.
