RACE 1 - WHAT A RUSH (7) has been kept fresh since returning from a spell with a game all-the-way win over this distance at Port Macquarie five weeks ago. Progressive filly who can keep things rolling with the help of a lovely draw. SCRIPTUS VIVACE (5) has not appeared since scrambling home as favourite on debut over today's trip at the Sunshine Coast on 31 January. Placed in a recent Deagon trial and looks ready for a bright return. ARCHIE MAXIMUS (1) is a Brutal colt on debut for the Matthew Dunn stable. Looks pretty smart, recently winning a Gold Coast trial. Keep an eye on the betting. Talented filly STEFFI ELECTRICA (8) returns from a 111-day break. Ran the smart Sunrays to 2.3 lengths on debut. Big chance if she finds that form. THE POOL BOY (12) has won both his trials for the Sears yard and looks set to make a bright start to his career.

RACE 2 - PRIDE OF GLASGOW (3) has lifted his ratings noticeably at each run this prep, culminating in a close second last start over a similar trip to this at Grafton. Should position beautifully from the good draw and this looks his big chance to break through. SHEZ MYSTERIOUS (6) has made up good late ground to finish just outside the placings at both her runs to date, the latest over this distance at Inverell. A potential lack of pace is her biggest worry but expect another big finish. HOMELAND (4) went back from a wide draw last time and did a good job to be beaten under two lengths over today's journey at Inverell. Draws a bit closer this time so he might go forward. Should be about the money again. LUCKY NEKO (5) started favourite but disappointed on debut at Grafton recently. Worth another chance with the step up in trip. ROCK THE MACHINE (11) can sneak into the top four on a seven-day backup.

RACE 3 - CHARMED DESTINY (12) has been mixing his distances of late with limited success. Best recent effort was a runner-up cheque three back over 2100m at Tuncurry. Doesn't win often but in this modest affair he looks tough to beat. DO IT FOR YOU (8) returned from a five-week let-up and did a fair job to be beaten under two lengths over the mile at Grafton recently. Strips fitter and the longer trip suits so with a few gear chances today he is right in contention. Forgive the last start failure of BORN TO BE ALIVE (13) on the Gold Coast poly. Just missed in a BM50 here at this distance when resuming the run prior. Must be included. AUREATE (3) has had two runs since coming up from Victoria, the latest effort over 1800m at Inverell encouraging. In the mix. MERAPI (9) has been racing well all prep and from a good draw should be in the finish again.

RACE 4 - ENHANCE (4) registered his sixth minor placing in a row, and a second this prep, when edged out over 1100m on the Sunshine Coast poly track last start. Should enjoy a soft run up on the speed and this looks his ideal chance to grab that well-deserved win. TOTALLY UNDERRATED (13) has been about the mark at both runs this prep. Settled closer last time but didn't quite see out the 1400m at the Sunshine Coast poly. Ideally placed back to six furlongs third-up and poses a genuine threat. GOLD PUMA (10) was lining up for only the second time and made nice progress recently when runner-up over this trip at Inverell. Only needs to hold that form to play a big role on the seven-day back-up. BEAUTIFUL JO (9) is a market watch first-up from two years on the sidelines. A sound recent trial at Grafton suggests she will have something to offer. CALL OUT (2) won a Gold Coast trial in emphatic style on 20 May. Looks set for a positive resumption after a fifteen-week absence.

RACE 5 - Track specialist HARDLEY GREY (2) came from the clouds to get up for second over 1400m here two runs back. Hasn't raced over this trip for some time which is the query, but his form around here is hard to fault. Gets the nod in an open affair. The clear threat is CABSAV (1) who returned with a tough third over a similar distance at Grafton last time out. The negative is his poor second-up record, the flipside is his excellent 1200m stats. Must be respected. MONARCH EXPRESS (3) got going when the race was all over at Grafton recently, his first appearance for four months. Lightly raced gelding who improved to finish a close second at this stage last prep. Definite contender. DAZZLING ROBERT (11) hasn't won for a while, with recent efforts just fair. Beautifully drawn and McGuren sticks so worth an each-way investment. VETOED (6) returned from a brief spell with a tough win here at this distance last time. Up in grade but should be prominent again.

RACE 6 - AYE AYE SKIPPER (1) did some work to sit outside the lead from a wide draw then found again at the other end to just prevail in a similar race at Grafton last start. Newman's claim is a smart one. Only needs luck from another wide alley to get the job done again. ANOTHER WISH (4) had an eight-week let-up and produced a much better performance last time out, working home well to just miss the placings over 1130m at Grafton. Will take a lot from that outing and with winkers on for the first time looks a big danger. SHE'S ENUFF (8) backs up seven days after weakening out of a 1400m BM58 at Inverell. Worth another chance back to this trip. SKATES ON (5) is racing in great heart. Goes extra well for Ben Looker who is back aboard. A bit of good fortune from the wide alley should see him in the finish. BELLZEN (3) has worked home well in both runs this prep at shorter journeys. This looks an ideal third-up assignment.

RACE 7 - MAJORELLE (2) is back in trip after three six-furlong outings from as many starts this prep, the highlight a win two back at Grafton in a BM82. Yet to miss the placings in five goes at today's trip. Looks the testing material from a good draw with Newman's claim. MAXIMUM VORTEX (1) tired late at Eagle Farm last time out when fresh from a forty-two-day let-up. Capable of blistering late sectionals when things fall his way. Right in contention. THE ASTRONOMER (3) returns after an outstanding Spring campaign that saw him win three on end. Goes well fresh and did score at his only other run at 1000m. Ticks all the right boxes. Distance specialist DIS IS HEAVEN (5) is racing in outstanding form, with a close third over today's journey at Warwick Farm the pick of the runs. A bad draw drops him down the pecking order but with luck he can certainly win. Veteran mare RUBY JULY (9) is up in grade but her nine wins at today's distance are hard to overlook.

RACE 8 - SECRET PLAN (1) tackled 1400m for the first time this prep at Eagle Farm last time out where he led them for home but tired to finish third. That run will top him off beautifully for this assignment. SKYFORGER (3) shouldered 60kgs into third placing over the mile at Rockhampton in open company recently. Boasts excellent credentials at today's trip. Sure to give a good account. OCEAN ALPS (5) battled on well to be beaten under three lengths by Floozie in the Listed Silk Stocking at the Gold Coast last start. Big chance with a repeat of that performance. AUZSTAR (8) is not the most reliable conveyance but with a light weight from the inside alley a top four finish is not out of the question. The speedy CHANGE THE DATE (13) can dictate terms and might be hard to catch under the light weight.

RACE 9 - MONTE MAXIMUS (5) missed the kick before working home in genuine style to be beaten under two lengths over 1350m at Ipswich last start. Gets some weight relief today so in a super hard race to close the day he appeals on an each-way basis. INDUBITABLY (4) has turned in a couple of even performances in differing races to launch this prep. The winner of two from two when third-up so expect she will be wound up to perform at her peak. HE'S A COPY BOY (13) has been getting back in his races this prep and finding it hard to make sufficient late inroads to threaten. Has a decent record at this distance so from a nice draw he comes into calculations. TALANA (2) is going well this prep with three close-up efforts from as many appearances. The wide gate dampens his prospects a little. INSINUATE (8) bolted in here last start and at the weights should be highly competitive again despite the class rise.
