RACE 1 - BIRD ON A WIRE (5) was solid without winning over this trip at Pinjarra a fortnight ago as the $2.80 favourite, but a win does appear to be on her doorstep. She can be a little closer in the run this time and now third-up into the campaign, she can shed the maiden tag. GALILEA (6) resumed in eye-catching fashion when running on from last over the 1200m journey here 10 days ago and the rise in trip will suit. She's placed 2/4 at this distance and she was right at her best fresh. Fitter again now and if she can build on the fresh effort, she'll be very hard to hold out. SWINDLE THE DOUGH (3) hasn't been far away this time in and gets the blinkers back on today. Brad Parnham takes the ride now and improvement is expected out in trip for the first time. WAR TRAIL (4) was a solid run on debut and looks suited by the rise in trip. Can play a role. RIGHTY OH (8) drops in trip now and can feature with the apprentice claim.
RACE 2 - MAID AN OFFER (2) hasn't been far away of late and draws a much better gate this time around. CJP remaining in the saddle is a positive sign. Looks to be right on the cusp judging by his recent efforts and he gets his chance today. SHE'S RESOLUTE (7) gets the blinkers on first time today following a 6.5L defeat here last start. Chris Parnham takes the ride now and she too draws a much better barrier. Disappointed last start but can bounce back. BEEJAY BOY (3) drops right back in trip following a good effort at Pinjarra over 2200m most recently. He was placed at this track and trip two back and he should be handy enough from a good draw. Can put his best foot forward. DENALI GIRL (6) looks as though she's ready for this trip now and can run a much-improved race third-up. ROYAL GLORY (1) is next best.
RACE 3 - ZED HOT EXPRESS (7) drops back to the 1100m journey after a 1.9L defeat at Pinjarra last time out when a $4 chance. That rates highly and she showed good improvement from her debut effort to her last start. Can continue on that trajectory and shed the maiden tag here. GINGER MORPHEUS (3) makes his debut today on the back of some nice trials at Lark Hill. Chris Parnham was on board for both of those outings and he rides again today. He's shown good speed in those outings and he'll be in this race for a very long way. USHINE AND BURN (6) led the field over this track and trip last time out and was only claimed late. Can turn in a similar effort today. SIR DUSKIN (1) closed off strongly here as a $26 chance fresh and a repeat effort will see him go close.
RACE 4 - SECRET INTENT (5) was building nicely to begin her debut campaign before a failure to end the prep. She comes into this without a trial though her early runs suggest this race is ripe for the taking. The booking of Steve Parnham is a good push and she can get the job done. RED AUTUMN (1) steps out to 1200m for the first time today. He didn't really get a chance after being slowly away at Ascot first-up, but the extra trip looks suitable today. Has contested better races than this in his time and he should be going close with CJP in the saddle. SCARY MARY (6) raced keenly when wide throughout last start and didn't see out the 1400m journey. Back in trip now where she was solid to begin this campaign and she finally draws a gate. Can turn in a much-improved effort. QUICK AS SILVER (2) gets the winkers on today and a rise in trip. Wouldn't surprise to see improvement. INTO THE FUTURE (8) can be thereabouts on debut.
RACE 5 - HISTORY WON'T CARE (3) has been back to the trials after pulling up with cardiac arrhythmia when beaten a long way as favourite at Ascot last time out. He'll find this an easier race today and CJP hops back in the saddle. Jumped favourite in a similar race first-up and he looks well placed in this. ELBOW LOUNGE (2) settled midfield and almost got the job done over this trip at Pinjarra, finishing 1.2L off a progressive type. He draws inside once again and should get his chance. Expecting him to make his presence felt. ROUNDABOUT GLORY (4) dipped second-up when going to a strong race at Ascot, though the form out of that has been good. Up in trip for the first time, though it looks to suit, and if he jumps better, he'll be hard to hold out. PLAYING QUEST (5) has been around the mark his past couple following a win here three back. Chris Parnham rides again and he deserves plenty of respect. DEEP SPEED (1) can bounce back today with a drop in trip.
RACE 6 - NOBLE CONNECTION (1) is hard to knock on recent form, winning over this track and trip two back before a bold effort at Ascot most recently. The form out of his last start has been great and he draws a much better barrier this time. Chris Parnham sticks with him and he ticks plenty of boxes. WHO SAZ YES (7) steps out to the mile for the first time which does look to suit this filly. She was good over 1400m here two back before getting into a slowly run affair most recently which didn't suit. Brad Parnham replaces the apprentice hoop now and she can bounce back. WIN TO RETIRE (6) is racing well, finishing just behind Noble Connection last time out at Ascot. She'll put herself on the barrier and she's right in this race if she can hold her recent form. HOT LIKE CHILI (2) is better than she showed last time out and can bounce back. OCEAN RANGER (5) disappointed last start when getting a long way back and looks set for improvement today.
RACE 7 - SANTANOVA (6) is a lightly raced filly who was gunned down late in stronger company at Ascot last time out. She was trending the right way prior to that and getting back to this level looks ideal for her. She maps for a beautiful run and this race is well within her grasp. ZOUCONI (9) looked a nice horse on the way up before tackling the Champion Fillies at G3 level. Been back to the trials since on the back of a reset and the booking of CJP suggests she can fire on resumption. Likely to play a major role. AMERICAN ESCAPE (8) was far too good over this track and trip 38 days ago but has had a little issue since then. Back in the sharp stable to have sorted him out and if he'll be going close if he can run up to his latest effort. KAMAKAZI SHOOTER (3) can put himself on the speed and will be in this for a long way. HOBA WEST (1) has trialled well coming in and has claims.
RACE 8 - CHERRY CAN RUN (2) is aiming to bring up a hat-trick of wins following a 2.1L victory at Ascot most recently. She's in hot form of late and this looks to set up brilliantly for her. She should get a lovely run in transit and a repeat of her latest effort will see her very hard to beat. LIFEISBUTADREAM (8) is building nicely into the campaign, closing off well behind a good one last time out at Pinjarra. Suspect she'll get back from the draw, but she's a third-up winner in the past and she can put herself into the finish. CLOSE AT HAND (3) won well last start at Ascot and can go on with the job. CATCH THE RED EYE (7) steps out in trip again and has claims.
