RACE 1 - TOSEN FAME (10) resumed in the same contest beaten 1.4L. Maps well and keeps the handy 3kg claim. May be looking for longer now but she rates a threat. MISS TIINA (13) debuts with Newitt a key jockey engagement. She has the rial and has looked good at the trials. A bold effort is likely. LIGHT FORCE (5) has been well supported but disappointing this preparation. She looked the part on debut and despite the wide gate has to be kept safe. I'VE BEEN DREAMING (7) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time. Can turn things around now and get into the mix.

RACE 2 - STARDARMUS (5) was much too good here this trip for the CL3 graders rating well. Tumbles in weight and she can win again without surprise. Goes in on top of JUST A NEEDS (2) who brings two threatening efforts to the table and looks ready to peak. An inside barrier and 3kg claim assist. She comes back 200m but can manage. SWEET LUCIFER (3) went close here third-up and is looking for the longer journey. GEEGEES CITY BOY (4) has scored at his last two starts, most recently by 0.8 lengths over 1150m at Devonport Synthetic. That continued the good form this campaign with two wins from four runs. Respect again.

RACE 3 - Tricky and the betting will be instructive. ZANY GIRL (6) is third-up seeking the hat trick and the extra metres are sure to suit. She was backed off the map last time and will get every chance from the inside gate WOLF JUNIOR (3) debuts and impressed winning a Longford trial. He has a handy barrier and Newitt's booking suggests he's pleasing. GEEGEES MISSILE (7) spiked the figures beaten just 0.4L behind Zany Girl. She has a future but the outside barrier is a niggle. CRACK THE SHUTTERS (9) also draws awkwardly but debuts owning a big trial win here and has to be considered.

RACE 4 - MS TASMANIA (1) is a clear top weight but it is earned. Is looking to deliver three wins on the trot and has been freshened. Has won 4/5 and can add to that record. HIGHLAND DUEL (2) was an easy Maiden winner before placing here in a CL1 win heavily bet. Has the first-time blinkers applied and carries 3kg less at this level. Newitt stays aboard and is likely to skip across and control the race. FIRST LINE (5) deserved her Maiden win here. This is harder but she has good upside and will be around the mark. DYNAMIC WARRIOR (4) won his Maiden by a space at Longford and maps for a soft run. He will keep improving as well.

RACE 5 - ALVARINHO (2) has been freshened following a near miss in the Listed Tasmanian Newmarket. Finally jumps from an inside barrier and flies this course/distance. Won this race last year and can add to that record. MAWALLOCK (3) represents a canny Victorian yard that successfully targets Tasmanian races. Won an Open at Ararat and then didn't have the best of it in an Open 3 at Cranbourne. Kersley comes to ride and tipping she's good enough. ANYWAYS ROXIE (9) is speedy and hasn't missed in four starts this preparation. This is harder but she keeps improving and Pires will use an inside barrier. ARUMA (5) and JAGUAR STONE (1) are racing well but this is a step up.

RACE 6 - MOORLANDS MISS (1) is lightly-raced and impressed comfortably winning the Listed Tasmanian Guineas over this distance. Fitter again and maps for the run of the race. She's the one to beat. AZONTO (2) deserved the Open 3 at Launceston and then started a $2.15 favourite in the Guineas beaten 2L. She gives away starts and the post may present too soon. NATIVE CLAN (3) would be in the finish finding his best. She's been freshened and has won a trial here since last seen. Maps well and expect an improved effort. SILVER DAGGER (5) has won 2/3 this preparation but this is a step-up. The mile will suit and she's sure to race well.

RACE 7 - PROMISES KEPT (4) is in the premier Victorian stable and is well-placed to be winning the feature. Brings compelling form from Melbourne including a near miss in a BM100 at The Valley last time. He races forward and should have them covered. Stablemate STRAWBERRY ROCK (2) has had three starts this preparation all at Stakes level. Placed earlier in the year in the Mornington Cup (2400m) and Sandown Cup (3200m). Comes back 300m freshened and has to be considered. ALHAMBRA LAD (3) led and won this race easily last year. He's needed the two runs this preparation and expect him to be sharper today. Maps well and Kersley rides. KALIUWAA FALLS (5) has his first crack at a middle distance and it should suit. He always puts in and goes into the trifectas at least.

RACE 8 - ALPINE THUNDER (1) has won 2/3 this preparation and it was comfortable here last time. Keeps getting better and can go on with the job. WINNING WITNESS (2) tackled better class here and only battled. His form at this level prior reads strongly and he has an inside gate today and 3kg claim. Drops back to a shorter sprint freshened and is a chance to bounce. WARICA (4) brings a near miss from the synthetic and peaks. Gives away starts but Newitt sticks and should give him every chance. ADACHI (3) resumes and is proven fresh. Has a 2kg claim and maps well. He will race over further but has won at this trip and has ability.
