Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Murwillumbah, Mornington, Cairns, and Ballina.

CANTERBURY: RACE 8 @ 4:20 PM

FRANKLY ELEGANT (7) tough mare who keeps raising the bar this time in chasing her third straight victory. Came across from the wide gate when a solid on-pace winner over this track and trip on May 29. Has the upside to win again in this stronger contest. ALLHALLOWTIDE (9) starting to hit his straps as he jumps in trip. Comes out of a strong race after charging late when third to NAVAL COMMISSION over 1800m at Randwick Kensington on May 15. Blinkers come off and winkers go on for this. Worth noting J Mac takes the ride. Must respect. MCGEEHAN (10) third-up today and won third-up previously. Has good figures this track and trip and gets the right conditions here. Strong through the line when seventh over 1600m at Kembla Grange on May 28. Look for him to be swooping late. RING AHOY (11) in need of the run first-up with the big weight when tenth over 1500m at Kembla Grange on May 18. Comes to hand quickly and races best this course and distance. Each way.
SELECTIONS: Frankly Elegant to win.

MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 7 @ 3:59 PM

NORTH OF ELI (1) came off a five-week let-up when beaten a whisker last start over 1200m at Murwillumbah. Contested some high-quality races in town prior to that so Matthew Dunn has a decent opinion of this three-year-old. Nicely drawn and looks ready to win despite the hefty impost. WATERMELON (5) won an Eagle Farm maiden two runs back then led but knocked up over 1350m at Doomben last time. Beautifully drawn and back a little in grade today so he looks primed for a big performance. SPIRIT OF MILAN (8) has been freshened up since a tiring seventh over 1100m at Ipswich a month ago. Won here to kick off this prep. Each-way prospect. MOOTESSA (3) has attacked the line strongly in her two outings this prep, both over 1100m at Gatton, for a win and a second. Sure to be flashing home again. THE LIONS' GATE (2) resumes. Will be better for the run but a top-three finish is not out of the question.
SELECTIONS: North Of Eli to prove too classy.

MORNINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:20 PM

PICKY (2) is racing well and drops in class for this having been beaten as the $1.60 favourite at Cranbourne last time out. Can bounce back strongly. PRIDE OF SULLIVAN (3) resumes having shown promise in his debut campaign. Looks a strong chance in this line up. ACCENDING (4) is right in the mix having shown good talent in her debut campaign, winning first time out at Traralgon by a big margin. Keep safe. SPICY MARGS (7) could be an improver and her best would see her very hard to catch.
SELECTIONS: Picky to win.

CAIRNS: RACE 3 @ 3:31 PM

The very well-related BRILLIANT MIND (1) (half to G1 winners Youngstar and Funstar) resumes here but put up a picket fence before the break and was racing with a lot of confidence. Loves this track and trip with three wins and two placings from just five attempts and goes well for Wiggins who is yet to taste defeat in three steers. Clearly the one to beat. BOHO BEAUTY (8) is a bit of a hit or miss type but is certainly capable on his day. Will be at peak fitness now fourth-up from the spell and can play a major role in the finish. MISSILE THUNDER (6) has won two of his past three including one around this circuit. Draws the inside marble and rates a genuine top-three candidate. GO GETABOY (2) is a six-time winner here and gets some weight relief with the claim. In the mix. PRIME RULER (3) loves this course and distance and cannot be ignored.
SELECTIONS: Brilliant Mind to keep the ball rolling.

BALLINA: RACE 7 @ 3:59 PM
