Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Albury, Swan Hill, Ipswich and Dubbo.

ALBURY: RACE 6 @ 3:05 PM

CHAMPAGNE SHARON (5) returned for a spell for a new stable with a very tidy win over 1000m at this track last start, stalking the leader into the lane then letting down in good style. Probably finds an easier race today and won't mind the extra trip so stick with her. WANALOAN (11) chased Champagne Sharon home first-up then blew the start and didn't recover here at this trip last time out. Draws out but with a bit of luck in running she can make amends. DYNAMIC ONE (1) was outclassed first-up in a 1200m Randwick Highway recently. Won a Class 1 over this distance at Gundagai last prep so he is good enough to test this line-up. SAIKO (6) had been racing well before a plain effort over 1280m at the Canberra Acton three weeks ago. Doesn't win out of turn but worth an each-way ticket back to this trip. Last start Goulburn maiden winner JOYNER (8) is lightly raced and ready to take this next step.
SELECTIONS: Champagne Sharon to win again.

IPSWICH: RACE 7 @ 3:30 PM

Gollan-trained COSTNER (3) switched from a sharp Sydney yard and was a big Maiden winner here first-up. He has more to give and a top hoop rides and will use the rail. Fitter and can take the next step. INCA TRAIL (8) switched from a Sydney yard and needed the first-up outing. He's up to this and is proven second-up. Maps for the run of the race and Maloney sticking aboard is a lead. EVER SO CLEVER (9) resumes for Gollan and brings a solid trial from Doomben. She led and extended well to win an Eagle Farm Maiden easily before spelling and will build on that. Keep onside. WINSOME STAR (7) and KALUMBURU (12) also deserve consideration.
SELECTIONS: With Costner.

SWAN HILL: RACE 7 @ 3:50 PM

PRESS DOWN (8) threatened twice in Adelaide in Group 3s before delivering the easy 82 win at Murray Bridge as expected. Peaks now and rates the one to beat. Just needs average luck pushing forward from the awkward barrier. STAGEMAN (4) has been freshened off the plain run at Caulfield. Came from the back to be narrowly beaten in the Listed Golden Mile at Bendigo prior. He has a handy gate and a much sharper effort is anticipated. IT'SOURTIME (1) just found one better in the Listed Wangoom at Warrnambool and then disappointed in the same grade at Flemington (vet cleared). He'd be right in it finding his best. PINTOFF (2) is in the premier stable and brings Listed form. Third up and has to be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Press Down.

DUBBO: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM

SMOOTH ESPRIT (5) saves his best for the home track and will find this more to his liking. Drifted back and failed to make an impression when seventh over 1400m in the Scone Country Cup on May 17. Best figures can see him finish over the top of these. SIZZLE MINIZZLE (4) kept fresh for this after failing to see the 1800m out when a tiring fifth at Wagga on April 21. Has a good record here and look for him late from the wide gate. Genuine each way contender. DREAM GAME (12) racing in a rich vein of form winning two of his last three starts. Looks up to this class on the quick back-up after winning well over 1400m at Wellington on May 30. Reunites with his regular rider today. LA SANTE (8) Canberra-trained gelding who made a nice return when running on late to finish third over 1010m at Moruya on May 26. Goes just as well second-up and must be included.
SELECTIONS: Smooth Esprit to win.
