Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Twelve previously unraced juveniles so it's time to fire up the trial videos. They will point us in the direction of (12) GEOLJAK SIDAE, who went through two trials, qualifying in the first of them in April when a close 2nd having led for most of the way, and then going through a voluntary one on May 23rd when he led all the way, stopping the clock in a quick time. He did that from the same wide draw he gets today if he can bring that form, he will take some beating. (1) HANGANG PERFECT was 2nd in his trial, coming from off the pace and finishing off well in a decent time and shapes as the main danger. (10) CHEONGUNG STROM came through the same trial as Hangang Perfect, finishing 4th and looking ready to race. (9) CHEONGSAN JILJU and (6) HANMADIMALDO others who could have a say first up.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(11) ASSI JANGGUN has been knocking at the door for a while now and enters with a 3rd and a 4th place from her latest two, both at 1300M. She has the challenge of the widest gate here but the slight step up in trip may be what she needs. (1) EAST QUALITY has shown progress over three starts to date, with his latest being her best. That was a 4th place over 1300M on May 5th when settling back and running on, but in this company and from the inside gate, he can be expected to be further forward, and he will probably start as the betting favourite. (5) B.K. BELLE is another who should be challenging for the early lead. She has mixed her form across eight outings but has a 2nd and a 3rd on her record and should be in the mix here. (10) LEGEND TAP and (2) MARUBYEOL look the other place chances.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only in this maiden and a couple enter ready to win. Chief among them is (4) TOHOMARKET, who comes in off a best to date finish of 2nd over this distance on May 19th when settling midfield and finishing off well. That gave her the joint fastest time of any of these for the distance, and from a better draw today, she can go one better. That time is shared by (2) CALIPH who similarly comes in off her best performance when 2nd over this distance on May 12th. That was a big uptick in form and from a good gate, she can keep her momentum going here. (11) CLOUD HEART and (8) GREEN CONCORD both come in off back-to-back 4th places from their respective latest two, and both should be aiming for career best finishes here. (10) SAHARAMONG another in the minor money frame.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) NAOL INDY got his maiden win at start number four over this distance on May 26th when leading from gate to wire. That win had been coming and while he comes up in class here, he is down in the weights and from a good draw can get to the front and lead all the way again. (6) SONE SONJABGO got her maiden win at start two at the end of March and immediately followed up with a 10/1 score on her first try at this level at 1200M on May 12th. She only comes up 1.5kg in the weights and only 100M in trip and a hat-trick isn't impossible. (2) TRAUM KING could only manage 6th on his return from seven months out on May 11th. He should strip fitter for that run, and he has placed at this class and distance. (7) GEUMAK DIA and (8) EUREKA among others in the placing hunt.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(5) TAP DIA will be a warm favourite here. She is yet to win in five attempts but after an ordinary debut, she has a 2nd and three 3rd place finishes, most recently when stepped up to this class and distance on May 12th and racing close to the pace throughout. Her time in that race was quicker than anything else here has achieved for the 1700M and under a very light weight, she should make the breakthrough. (3) SSEULMO is also a maiden, in his case after twelve attempts. He is ultra consistent with two 3rd places and two 2nd places from his latest four and while he carries top weight, he can be competitive stretched out to two turns for the first time. Neither of those maidens have anything on (6) STAR RUSH though, who is still yet to score after forty-three attempts. He has finished between 2nd and 5th on no fewer than twenty-four occasions and this is the kind of race where he goes close. (4) THE GIANT and (7) P N S NALA are the other minor money hopes.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(5) SINUI YEOIN has been working back towards a second win and comes in off a close runner-up finish over 1400M on May 25th when on pace throughout. She remains under a very light weight, her previous victory came over this trip, and she has as good a chance as any here. (6) KNIGHT CHARM is up in class having won at this distance on May 25th. He is yet to finish any worse than 5th in five starts and third up this preparation following almost six months out, he can be peaking fitness-wise. (8) ELITE ROYAL can mix her form but based on her last start 3rd when she led for much of the way around 1200M, she can be in this. (9) JANGHEUNG CLASS and (10) SEMYEONG LADY others to consider.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) THE SUN FIGHTER is up in class here following a few too many class 5 misses including a last start 2nd place at this distance behind Useung Concord on May 19th. He carries a light weight, he draws very nicely, and there is little to fear here. (3) SUPER ECTON has the joint-fastest time for any of these for the distance and comes in off two promising latest efforts. He likes to settle back and run on and can be in the finish. (6) ALL FOR YOUR DREAM too enters with recent form reading well and the light weight can help him be competitive again here. (9) P N S AI and (4) HWASUBOON both come in off ordinary latest outings but have shown ability at both this class and distance.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) USEUNG CONCORD has won his latest two at 1200M and 1400M to get rapidly promoted to this class, most recently comfortably defeating The Sun Fighter (who we should have seen in race 7) on May 19th. He comes down in the weights, draws nicely and Moon Se-young stays on. (7) DREAM RIDGE was a smart winner in a good time at this class and distance on May 11th, settling midfield and proving too strong. That means a rise in weight here, but he can be competitive again. (1) DONGJIN BULPAE was a winner at this class and distance as recently as March and while he has been below expectations in his latest two, warrants another chance. (10) SUN FO RE and first-time starter (3) HERO KHAN are others to look out for.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) CHEONGPAUI KKUM was a class and distance winner two starts back before running 4th on his latest outing on May 18th, again at this class and distance in what was probably a slightly stronger field than this one. He draws well and while he carries 3.5kg more than that last win, he is the one to beat here. (3) MUNHAK EAGLE enters ff back-to-back 2nd place finishes at this class and distance, most recently on May 4th when coming from off the pace. She comes up just 1.5kg in the weights, Harry remains aboard, and she shapes as a danger. (4) NEMO PRINCE was a close 3rd in that May 4th race and was similarly doing his best work late on and he can be finishing strongly again. The up in class (2) BICHUICA and (6) LEGEND K the best of the rest.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(2) VICTORY HIT got her maiden win over this distance at start number eleven on May 11th racing on pace all the way. She comes up in class, but she draws nicely and while she doesn't have a 4kg apprentice claim this time, instead she gets Moon Se-young aboard, and she can repeat. (4) EFFEL TAP enters with recent form reading very consistently around two turns. He is still at the top of class 4 so comes up in class here to get a big weight drop and he can be competitive. (5) MONEY CROWN enters off a smart 3rd place over 1800M on April 28th. That was an uptick on recent form, and he can be in the mix again. (1) TAPDOWN and (8) GOOD HAPPY are others to consider.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(4) COMPLETE TIME led for much of the way around at this class and distance on May 4th before ultimately finishing in 3rd in a what was a quick time. Lim Gi-won returns to the mount this time and from a good gate he can be on pace again and can go all the way. That will mean overturning the form on (3) LUXURY CAPTAIN, who ran 2nd in that May 4th race. He mixes his form and was most recently midfield in the Listed Sports Chosun Trophy at 2000M on May 19th, but he carries a light weight, and this is the kind of race where he can pick up a cheque. (6) MAUIWAY beat a couple of these when 4th over 1200M on May 18th. He has eleven top-five finishes from fourteen starts and looks ready to tackle the mile for the first time. (1) DAESARI made all over 1400M on June 1st and returns rapidly here with chances to repeat. (2) GRAY CAT Another in the frame.
